THE MUSICIANS
Joey Lee
Joey Lee, guitarist and culinary chef extraordinaire, enjoys heavy bars, fast cars, and loud guitars. Hailing from Western North Carolina, Joey Lee has been playing guitar since the age of 13. He has played in various local rock bands since his early 20's. Musical influences include Jimi Hendrix, Darrell Abbott, Frank Zappa, Kim Thayil, and Robert Fripp.
Rashed
Rashed picked up the guitar in the early 90’s in Bangladesh, taking lessons from a guitarist who’d played for one of the country’s early pop stars (who introduced a more Western tonality). Rashed continued to push himself on the guitar after immigrating to the US in the mid-90’s, building upon the foundation that was laid by his first teacher. He formed his first band in the early 00’s and continues to write, record, and perform original music (having worked with many musicians along the way).
John
Rolled in rocking dry rub and saturated in funky sauce, John is a lifelong drummer and seasoned to the bone. Music performance has taken him from coast to coast, including artsy sessions in NYC and Seattle. John’s personal commitment to music has supported his livelihood, both professionally and artistically. Joining as the drummer for The Local Vocals provides John the perfect creative avenue to support live music pathways for music enthusiasts who are curious to be in the middle of the magic music bubble, feeling the notes, the power, the air that moves around them as they take their first deep, expressive breath. John looks forward to sharing the stage with you.
Chuck
A veteran of the US Coast Guard, Chuck is a writer, editor, producer, and Grammy considered songwriter with a compulsion for creativity. He's been rocking on bass since the '90s.
